Veterans In-Service Injury Network (VISIN)

The Veterans In-Service Injury Network works with medical specialists with an understanding of military life to provide an independent expert clinical review of military service-related physical injuries, which remain a concern despite treatment, or conditions that have developed far earlier than expected due to military service.

It might be an injury or scarring that has not quite healed right, or a respiratory or skin condition that just won’t go away, even after treatment. It might be joint or hearing issues that have developed decades earlier than civilian colleagues, family and friends.

Once existing NHS support has been exhausted:

  • Contact your GP to discuss your injuries or illness.
  • Your GP refers you to veterans In-Service Injury Network (VISIN).
  • VISIN specialists meet to discuss your case.
  • VISIN makes recommendations to your GP.
  • Your GP discusses possible next steps with you.
