In line with NHS Highland direction, your GP will no longer be responsible for the delivery of vaccinations and immunisations effective 1st March 2023.
After Wednesday 1 March 2023, NHS Highland will take responsibility for delivering ALL vaccines and immunisations in the community as part of a national vaccination transformation programme. Patients eligible for vaccination will be invited via letter to attend or book the appointment.
Patients can direct questions about child or adult immunisations to the NHS Highland Service Delivery Centre (SDC) helpline: phone 08000 320 339, Mon-Fri, 9:30am-5:00pm. It is requested that patients wait for an appointment letter before calling the NHS Highland SDC to make an appointment.
If you have a clinical query please contact NHS Highland’s Health Protection Team. The details for the Health Protection Team are 01463 704886 and the email address for the Health Protection Team is hpt.highland@nhs.scot
Community Pharmacies will deliver vaccines and immunisations required for foreign travel. The details of pharmacies providing this service can be found on the NHS Highland website which will continue to be updated as pharmacies go live.
Vaccination Service Delivery Centre HELPLINE
If you have questions about clinics, have been asked to book an appointment or require alternative appointment arrangements, please contact our local Service Delivery Centre Helpline on 08000 320 339. The Helpline is open Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm.
It has also come to our attention that parents have been sent letters containing the incorrect information regarding child flu vaccinations. Calling the number stated on the letter will direct you to the National Helpline instead of the Local Helpline. The Local Helpline can be contacted on 08000 320 339 to book an appointment. It is open Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm. Please do not contact the Practice regarding this as the National Helpline have advised.
