Many doctors are not in every day. If the problem is able to wait a few days you have more chance of seeing your named doctor.
If your named doctor or nurse is on annual or sick leave, you will be offered an alternative appointment with another doctor or nurse.
Please be aware that appointments are unable to be made by email.
Many patients find telephone appointments a useful and convenient option for consulting with a GP or nurse when they feel they do not require a physical examination.
Contact the practice on 01463 715999 and the receptionist will help you find a suitable day and time when the doctor or nurse you want to talk to has an available appointment.
If you need an urgent appointment; please contact the practice and inform the receptionist that you feel you need to be seen urgently and give as much information as possible as to the reason for this request.
The receptionist will add all of your details on to our daily triage screen for our duty team to assess and make a clinical decision as to the most appropriate course of action required. This may involve providing you with care over the telephone, inviting you into the practice for a consultation with a member of the duty team, a GP or nurse or signposting you to other services such as your local pharmacy, pharmacy first +, physiotherapy or a variety of other available specialists.
For urgent appointments requests, our duty team require as much information as possible to make their clinical decision. To aid them in this, our reception team may ask you for further details relating to the issue you are calling about – this is for the duty team’s information only and as such will be deal with the utmost confidentiality.
If you have been referred to hospital and are anxious to know when you will be seen or reviewed, contact Raigmore Hospital directly on 01463 704000, or check your hospital letter or appointment card for a department telephone number.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
